Five of Nyc's Most Ionic Dance Companies – Hispanic Ballet, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, American Ballet Theater, New York City Ballet, and Dance Theater of Harlem – Reunite on One Stage to Celebrate The Fifth Anniversary of The Baand Together Dance Festival Festival Festival, Sharing The Spotlight and Stage for Five Performances from July 29-August 2 As Part of Lincoln Center's Summer for the city. The festival began when the performing arts returned after the height of the pandemic in 2021 as a new form of collaboration in the celebration of the performance of return to life.
This is a rare opportunity for the public to experience five exceptional actions of dear programming curated program in collaboration by the artistic directors of each company, with favorites of repertoire. The performances will be from Tuesday to Friday at 7:30 pm and Saturday at 4pm.
The Baand Together Dance Festival of Lincoln Center, 2025, presents an extraordinary program that shows the art of five world -renowned dance companies. Dance Theater of Harlem performs Robert Garland's Nyman Rope Quartet No. 2Combining classic and contemporary styles with vibrant energy. New York City Ballet offers Christopher Wheeldon Pas de Deux of After rainA moving sample of emotional depth and technical precision. Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater brings Lubovitch's Many angelsa moving exploration of spirituality and grace. American Ballet Theater presents the evocator of Susan Jaffe Midnight pas of Deuxcapturing the intimacy of the human connection. Finally, Hispanic ballet gives Annabelle Lopez Ochoa's Mad'moiselle housea bold and culturally rich work. The diverse alignment of the Band Festival together celebrates the power and beauty of dance through incomparable art.
This summer, for the first time, the public will obtain a perspective outside the stage of the extraordinary collaboration on the stage between these five iconic dance companies in New York during a free discussion panel on Tuesday, July 29 at 5:00 pm in the atrium of David Rubenstein, with the artistic leaders of the five companies: Eduardo Vilo, Hispanic ballet; Alicia Graf Mack and Matthew Rushing, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater; Susan Jaffe, American Ballet Theater; Wendy Whelan and Jonathan Stafford, New York City Ballet; and Robert Garland, Harlem Dance Theater, moderated by Shanta Thake, Ehrenkranz artistic director of Lincoln Center.
Every afternoon, one of the companies brings their unique teaching style to participants of all ages with free dance workshops in the Lobby of David Geffen Hall. The series will offer a variety of dance forms, appropriate for all ages and skills.
