Party 'Broke' of the Explosions of the Republican Party of Clark County – Las Vegas Sun News

A former state Senate candidate who went to lead the Clark County Republican Party took out his leadership and finance on Wednesday night in a “empty president” debate after the current head of the party Jesse Law did not attend.

Jill Douglass told those at the Clark County Republicans meeting that a case of harassment involving the law had become a distraction and asked him to renounce his seat. The case was resolved in March.

Douglass, president of Republican women born in Battle and a failed candidate for the state Senate in 2024, also told the Talk Conservative radio presenter, Heidi Harris, in the event that the party was “broken”, he even had to reach an agreement with his owner to “settle for less” than the rent owed in the PCO offices.

Douglass said he was not sure if the Clark County Republican Party had even raised $ 40,000 in the last two years, far from what she said it was the objective of the law: $ 360,000. From the money brought, $ 14,000 come from the rental rental space of Donald Trump's presidential campaign in the office, he said.

Douglass said he had never seen the books of the party, but alleged that the Republican party of the County has “constantly backward”, paying $ 17,000 of $ 40,000 for rent owed. The party has “something like $ 11,000 in the bank,” said Douglass, without finance director or annual budget.

“If we join, we can do things that are useful (for campaigns). We can do advertising fences … We can do the municipalities and invite the independents to listen to their kitchen table problems,” Douglass said. “But we can't do any of those things if we don't have money.”

The Clark County Republican Party will celebrate its president's election, which also presents the former candidate for the Bob Olson Assembly on Tuesday. Olson spoke in the “empty chair” debate, which was not in the hands of the party, before Douglass appeared, but the live transmission of the event decreased or silenced for much.

Neither the Law nor the Clark County Republican Party immediately responded to a request for comments on Douglass's debate and claims.

But Law already has the support of Trump, who supported him along with a series of party officials for state positions on social networks on Wednesday morning before the scheduled debate. Law, one of the six “false voters” of Nevada in the presidential elections of 2020, also has the support of Governor Joe Lombardo.

Douglass, citing his fundraising work for the governor and his efforts trying to expel the leader of the majority of the state Senate Nicole Cannizzaro, said that the support of Lombardo's Law “makes no sense.”

“It does not matter to obtain the support of people who are not part of the CCRP, who have never been part of the CCRP … who have not seen dysfunction,” he said. “Do you know who the opinion is important? The people who are here tonight (and) The voters of the Central Committee.”

Douglass, which is postulated with a list of frustrated candidates with the current leadership, began the night when denying the online rumors that had organized the debate and had access to questions in advance.

An organizer said at the beginning of the event that the debate was originally planned for July 7. However, he moved to Wednesday to accommodate the law even though he did not commit “completely” with the debate, said the organizer, which caused the original moderators to leave.

Building a candidate pipeline, match message

Douglass had few positive words for Nevada Democrats throughout the night, but praised the system of the party for the investigation, development and training of candidates to run for a position. It is something that does not exist for local Republicans, he said.

The lack of organization has led to frequent Republican primaries full of people, he said.

That forces Republican candidates to spend money that Douglass would prefer to be used against Democrats. The nominees are also entering general and bruised general elections as candidates who defeated the primary fog to support them.

“It will not happen overnight, but we will reach the point that people realize that if you want the support of the party and the use of some of our resources … we need to be able to evaluate,” Douglass said.

Instead of expensive intraparty fighting, Douglass wants the republican investigation process to redirect candidates for other races or roles if the local Republican party feels that they are not the best for the position at that time. She said that more Republicans must apply for offices at the county level to expel Democrats.

In addition to creating an infrastructure for the party, Harris said that the president's other responsibility is to develop effective messages. Douglass changed that, saying that the party needs to listen better to local residents if Republicans want to make progress.

She said that the current strategy remains more to appear suddenly in an office in a community where the party seeks to gain ground and tell people to vote for Republicans due to “pro-negocios and pro-family values” of the party.

“We have to stop appearing during (one) election year and say: 'Republican vote; we are better for you', when they don't know us,” Douglass said. “When we build a relationship and show that we care, then you have earned the opportunity to have the conversations that people can really change.”

Part of the fixation that is a solid communications team, and said that focusing on public relations and community relations would be chosen if chosen. Republicans also need to better promote Lombardo's work against democratic policies, Douglass said.

“We also want to grow our membership,” he said. “The only way in which the community we represent is when we have a presence throughout our community, not only in certain suburbs areas.”
