Birmingham is the 2nd largest city in the UK, it’s the centre of what is left of the UK manufacturing sector and a major conference and exhibition location. It’s not surprising then that it was the 1st place outside London to get a table dancing club in 1996 and since that time a steady stream of new openings has resulted in it having more clubs than anywhere in the UK outside the capital. The newest and most luxurious of these clubs opened in 2004 as the Medusa in Queensway close to the centre of town.
The club is the brainchild of Cas Carrington a former Sun Page 3 model {pictures of her modelling past adorn the walls} and the ex manager of both of Spearmint Rhino’s 2 clubs in the city. She decided to work for herself in 2004 and has become one of the few female club owners in the England. As one of the most experienced club managers in the UK she was able to set the place up from day 1 with an experienced staff.
The club opens earlier and stays open later than most and it has a raunchy stage show called “ Midnight Blue “ every night at 12pm featuring 6 of the clubs beautiful dancers. Unusually for the UK car parking is available if arranged in advance and catering for larger parties is a speciality. There are regular “2 for 1” dance promotions and for those not on a budget there are very luxurious VIP areas.
