Anti lapdancing laws coming into force in the Autumn

The long overdue resignation of “ deadbeat” Smith as Home Secretary is not likely to prevent the idiot new anti lapdancing laws coming into force in the Autumn. The resignation of Gordon Brown and a consequent general election could have the desired effect but despite weekly disasters he looks like hanging on as I write this.

New applications to open clubs continue to be made. A new club in Wimslow, Cheshire called the “ST Lounge” {connected to the club with the same name in Stoke} has permission to open. Talking of Stoke a new club called “Paradise” is opening in Hope St, Hanley. The “Music Place”  in Crouch End, North London is renewing it’s application which was dropped after much local opposition early in the year.
Although unaffected by the new English laws Glasgow council is trying to make yet another crackdown on it’s group of 4 lap dance bars to appeal to local bigots. Spearmint Rhino and Seventh Heaven have both been turned down for licences {expect a successful but expensive appeal} and “Forbidden” [formerly Legs and co} has been warned about scantily clad dancers taking smoke breaks outside the club. “Claudia’s” in Blackpool has had it’s licence withdrawn and “Snug” in Nottingham has it’s application turned down.
The “ Liquid Bar” in Paignton is for sale as is “Basque” in Chesterfield.
Grampian Police have finally managed to prosecute male stripper Stuart Kennedy for impersonating a Police officer after god knows how many attempts.
Simon Cowell and Ryan Seacreast of “American Idol” were in Stringfellow’s early in the month.
Talking of Stringfellow’s inventor Sir Clive Sinclair {68} is marrying ex Miss EnglandAngie Bowness {32} who he first met as a dancer there.
