The 2nd annual Miss Stripper competition in Spain with heats at Madrid,

Miss StripperThe 2nd annual “ Miss Stripper” competition based in Spain has been announced with heats at Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, and also in Hungary see www.miss-stripper.com

Welcome news of a new Entertease jug strip venue called G’s wine bar in Bicester opening Wednesday and Sunday night. No news on the Flags yet though, it’s going to appeal and the process as with anything involving lawyers takes many months, in the meantime it’s open as a pub but can’t have any girls on due to Slough council’s bizarre machinations.

The opening of Gerard Simi’s luxurious new club Rembrandt’s near London Bridge station was held up due delays in building work/equipment etc but it is now expected to open in February or March.
Lad’s mag Loaded is again running a Showgirl of the year competition for 2006 featuring 100 of the UK’s top dancers supposedly from a range of clubs {including 1 apparently from the Revuebar which actually shut in 2004 !} across the country including the likes of Lolita { right} from the White Horse , Shoreditch a personal favourite. The final is to be held at Spearmint TCR as last year though by the sound of it the readers vote side of this competition is pretty irrelevant.
The Boobie sister’s cancer appeal comfortably exceeded it’s target of £5,000 raised for breast cancer charities. One of the “sisters” beautiful Tania Amazon has been voted worldwide Sirengold model of 2006  There is also a new web  covering her agency and it’s activities. The Mitchell sisters { Angie and Danni} who work at the White Horse’s High Wycombe and Shoreditch now have a web site  News of a new private club specialising in ethnic dancers opening in London at an as yet unnamed venue

East end pub the Axe { opposite a block of council flats}has apparently now got a 6am licence but the original Stringfellow’s Covent Garden club has had it’s application to open after 3am turned down for no obvious reason, though the recent prosecution of a bouncer for manslaughter there over the death of a customer may not have helped. The new Dublin club’s opening was delayed by local objections to the licence but this was granted on January 9th and the club should now open in February. The 2nd London club should also open in the Spring and I hear a rumour that a 5th club may be opened in New York during 2006.
Hooters strip bar in Edinburgh is apparently being sued by the US scantly clad restaurant chain for using the name suggesting to me that they must be thinking of expanding into the UK. Talking of Scotland the bigot’s committee looking into adult entertainment has produced a typically biased and poorly informed consultation document dominated by nonsense provided by various “wimmin’s” groups. This typically total waste of public money seems to be moving towards it’s pre ordained conclusions before Easter.

The Blue Box Leisure who own the Red and Blue Leopards in Leeds opened a very large { 900 capacity}3rd club called Blue Coyote in Merrion St the centre of Leeds during the month. This must be one of the largest clubs in the UK and will have 3 stages with continuous strip shows paid partly for by vouchers given out with drinks. They are also going to open a 4th very up market club in that city called Deep Blue in York Place in May. The group have stated that they are looking to open 5 more clubs in West Yorkshire in 2006 and I understand they have a couple of sites already identified. I understand that Spearmint are looking to open their first new club in the UK for over 3 years in Norwich having acquired a site. A smart first club in Torquay called the KoKo Lounge on Union St is scheduled to open on the 22nd of Feb, girls are being supplied by Angel’s Exotic  . Another new club {to me anyway} is Parliament 1 in New Parliament St , Leicester which apparently has both male and female dancers.
Blackpool’s longest established club Too Hot to Handle has been sold and is now the 3rd member of the Wildcat chain. Also in Blackpool Club Wicked {right} is up for sale. I hear that Evolution, Barrow’s only club has gone out of business after a short but rather troubled career. The attempt to open the Bar Lane Club in Nottingham as a private members strip venue has unsurprisingly been turned down by Nottingham’s super prude council. No doubt it eventually will go ahead after a wasteful and expensive appeal. Cairo Jack’s Rugby’s proposed first club was also turned down by the council but the owner seems determined to open either that or Midas in the near future. A bouncer at Portsmouth’s Elegance was shot in the leg when leaving the club and Wildcat chain owner Matt Haycox was robbed at gunpoint after being followed home from his {non lap dance} club in Huddersfield.

Those interested in working overseas might like to read the attached diary which is by a New York based English girl who gives some very frank verdicts on working at several local strip venues
Talking of New York super model and celebrity coke head Kate Moss apparently performed a pole dance at the Scores lap dancing club there during a party early in January.
