Ex Browns star Elouise has re-emerged at the White Horse nearby

Beautiful Ex Browns star Elouise { who had not been seen in Browns since before Christmas as I mentioned in last month’s column} has re-emerged at the White Horse nearby. She tells me she is very happy to be working there and if you want to see her check on the accurate timetable on the pub’s excellent web site

The nearby Sports bar now also has a web site that actually works  though this one is much less informative. A new club has emerged nearby in Aldgate going by the unusual name of Club Oops see which is scheduled to open late in April . East End club Metropolis now has a mobile billboard as well as a courtesy cab and I spotted it the last time I was in London.
The Entertease pub The Flags in Slough finally re-opened with dancers 7 days a week on March 31st after 6 months of pointless and expensive council and police opposition. It’s no longer private members but it does have many conditions on the licence. Talking of Slough Prince Harry {3rd in line to the throne} was spotted in Spearmint Rhino Colnbrook celebrating his finishing his officer training at Sandhurst with several friends. Strangely for a heterosexual 21 year old on the razzle he declined a private dance !

Talking of Spearmint Rhino the US giant has been embroiled in a dispute with the tax office regarding VAT on the cost of table dancing. The latest tribunal ruling is that the club is liable for VAT on the full cost of a dance. Ken Livingstone fresh from praising the human rights record of the current Chinese regime is committing more public money to opposing the opening of Rembrandts in Tooley St.
Pop star Pink  is also a keen pole dancer and fan of strip bars and has announced plans to open her own chain in LA, Las Vegas, and London. I understand Peter Stringfellow who has already opened a new club in Dublin this year and plans 2 more in London and New York by the end of the year is also considering opening a club in Scotland , probably Edinburgh. The Striporama Nottingham “Club Mondo” night in March was a huge success and there is to be a follow up on May 18th. The “ Global Gathering” pop festival at Long Marston drag strip which headlines the like of Fatboy Slim is to have a lap dancing tent.

Lots of activity outside London, the changes in the licensing laws seem to have prompted a new boom in clubs. Nottingham’s 2nd club with a full nude licence Bar Humbug in Friar St opened for lap dancing Thursday, Friday , and Saturday late in February and is working in co-operation with the long established private members club Conrad’s.

The “ Desert Rose” lap dancing nights at the Eurobar hotel in the same city seems to have ended for good though. A new club has opened in Stourbridge called “ Heaven” at 158 Lower High St. Another club called “ Heaven” in the High St { girls supplied by Promises} is to be the first full time club in Newmarket { after 3 years of effort} though another club called DeNiro’s has been having odd but regular striptease nights for many years.

An application to open a 2nd club in Stafford called “Barristas” in Martin St has been successful and the club should open soon. A 2nd club also opened in April in Skegness called “ The Library”. Another application to open a first club in Sale called Bar Juice has also been made this creating some local opposition. A new club in Paisley {presumably outside the influence of “ crackpot” Coleman and Glasgow council} called Tiger Lily opened in April  . A first club is set to open in Burnham on Sea, Somerset with the nightclub Shakers gaining permission to have lap dancing nights Thursday to Sunday. Coventry’s first club mentioned in the column several months ago is now open and actually called “ Heat”.
Brighton’s council is another anti strip one and an attempt to run a lap dancing club in the town without a proper licence in Gloucester Place was shut down by the police late in March. Oldham’s new club Players seems to have fallen foul of the local police due to an association with Sophie Arzoni formerly of High Society who is not considered a fit person to be involved after various convictions over the past few years. The club’s licence has been revoked though I understand it’s still open pending a possible appeal.

The final of the Showgirls of the year competition at the Hammersmith Palais seems to have been re-scheduled for the 7th of December  The Platinum Club in Chester entered a team in that town’s annual cheese rolling competition on March 15th { right}. Essex cricketer Ashley Cowan is having his benefit supported by the Cave Chelmsford’s only lap dancing club.
A new topless car wash has opened on the A5 in Hinckley, Leicestershire. The owner Jon Bevins has connections with the Avairy club in Leicester and has plans to open several more around the midlands.
