The former “Rembrandts” in Leeds is now called “Silks Gentleman’s club”, also the former “Len’s champagne bar” in York Place has applied for a lap dancing license.. Leeds based “Buffalo Lounge” has acquired and renamed the former “Centrefolds” in Huddersfield . A club called “Club Fantasy” has opened in Norwich, the application to open up “Snug” in Nottingham has been refused. A new venue called the “Gentleman’s club” is opening in Waterford, Southern Ireland.
Burlesque superstar Dita von Tease who has in the past expressed interest in acting has just been given a recording contract. England’s Burlesque star Immodesty Blaize is to perform a routine at the Hay literary festival before reading from her new novel.
The “Scala” a former cinema near Kings Cross station is to hold the Miss Pole Dance UK competition in the summer and also part of the London Burlesque Festival. The former “Tiffany’s” in Exeter is up for sale complete with license, no news about the new location for the club as yet.
A man from North Shields was fined £400 for racially abusing a doorman at Private Eyes in Aberdeen, apparently he compounded his crime by referring to the police involved as “jocks” !
