FYEO in Bournemouth has celebrated 10 years in operation

The introduction of a clamp down on club licensing looks ever more likely with various proposals from both the Conservatives and Lib Dems {never let a bandwagon pass}joining the half baked ill informed Labour clamour. The City Golf Bar in Bride St mentioned last month as getting the first nude license inside the City square mile has been renamed Sherbert’s of London and now has a web site  . It’s to be open from 3pm to late Wednesday to Friday in theory but apparently having opened for a week in July they have decided that the summer is too quiet a time to start in the City. A re-launch is apparently planned for September with an advertising campaign to start in August. I understand a wine bar/nightclub called Charlies at Tower Hill has also started striptease on Thursday nights.
A controversial first club in Burgess Hill called Club Redd opened early in July but then was subject to a mysterious fire {right, the Police now confirm arson} in the middle of the month and is now shut again. opened in Aberdeen. Mansfield which got it’s first club 53 Degrees North early this year and now has a pub called the Dial Hotel starting pole dancing on Sunday afternoons. Ware football club has obtained a license to hold striptease nights at their home stadium. New, as yet unnamed clubs, are recruiting to open in August in both Leicester and Worcester.

Quite a few dancers getting themselves into trouble this month, firstly Christina Benson  who works at Wiggle in Bournemouth was convicted of a £7,000 benefit fraud. Secondly a dancer called Lucy Phillips of Johnny Diamonds in Birmingham received a suspended sentence for the attempted blackmail of a customer. Most serious was Sarah Tyson who works in Blackpool and got 6 years for her part in a fatal road accident where she was twice the legal drink drive limit, speeding, and sending a text message.
