Research showed that nearly 75% of strip dancers were happy in the job

Research done by Dr Teela Saunders of Leeds University involving interviews with over 300 dancers nationwide showed that nearly 75% of dancers were happy in the job and were attracted by the money and the relative freedom of being self employed.

This rather contrasts with the impression given by the likes of Object and the various other fem Nazi organisations, obviously yet another mass outbreak of ‘Stockholm Syndrome’! It also found that unlike the dumb blonde image 25% of the girls had degrees and that a further 20% were studying for higher education qualifications of various types. The report is only interim so far, dancers who would like to contribute to the full survey can contact the project at www.surveymonkey.com/dancersurvey
.The “Platinum Lace” chain set up by ex Spearmint Simon Warr opened the prestigious new club in Coventry Street, London {below} as mentioned in previous columns on September 15th. This is the 5th club in the chain and I understand further ones are in the pipeline.

The equally fast growing and confusingly similarly named but Leeds based Baby Platinum chain has also opened it’s 5th club in Leicester during September. A new club as yet unnamed is also opening in the centre of Reading. The ‘China Red’ club in Broad Street, Birmingham has been granted a license though it has apparently been operating without one for several years.
Another club called “Cyclone” has also applied for a license in the same street but is meeting local opposition. A troubled conventional club called “Chambers” in Runcorn  has apparently turned around it’s fortune as a lap dancing venue called “Desire”.

Dita Von Tease  is to perform one of her full shows at the “Erotica” show at Olympia, London at 6pm on the 19th, 20th, and 21st of November.

The “Beehive” strip pub in Bromley by Bow has apparently stopped having dancers. “Fallen Angels” in Blackpool has lost it license {under the old system, note not the new one which has not actually come into force yet} as the owner Nabil Awadi has drug convictions. The proposed club in Old Market, Bristol has had it’s application turned down by the council.
I understand that the long established ‘Venus” club near Smithfield in London is closed at the moment, as yet I’m not sure if this is permanent or not.
The ‘White Swan’ a long established East End gay venue has started having transvestite lap dancing nights  on Tuesday nights called ‘Pink Boa’

Further to the story of the murder of Denise D’Courtney of the Queen Anne, it’s been reported that the authorities in the Dominican Republic sent the wrong body back to England for burial.
When an all star group of celebs is out on the town like on Russell Brand’s stag do involving the likes of Noel Gallagher, David Walliams, Jonathan Ross, and Guy Richie it seems inevitable that they still end up at Stringfellow’s as happened late in September.
