The rapidly expanding Platinum Lace chain grew out of the breakup of Spearmint Rhino in the UK when the Eoropean MD Simon Warr decided to break with the US and run his own operation.
The chain started with existing clubs in Leicester, Brighton, Norwich, and Glasgow but in the summer of 2010 opened it’s first completely new club in Coventry Street , London right in the very centre of town between Leicester square and Piccadilly Circus.
The new club which has become the flagship of the chain is located slap in the middle of the world famous entertainment heart of London next door to HMV and in the same block as the likes of the Trocadero and Planet Hollywood . In contrast to most UK clubs this very central location has resulted in it opening at 12pm during the week to take advantage of the enormous footfall and the club has an “early bird” type offer with the entrance charge being converted into a dance voucher until 7pm combined with half price drinks. The club has 2 stages and a VIP room which can be booked in advance and has already set new standards for service and hospitality in the sector.
